Oooooh a link from the BBC! How erudite.
So Turkey's MPs (which I can only assume stands for Marshmallow Pixies) have decided to send troops into Northern Iraq to combat Kurdish insurgents who seem to like continually bombing Turkey. Bush is upset at Turkey for wanting to go into Iraq, and at the same time is upset at the US congress for wanting to pass a resolution against Turkey. What is this resolution? Some sort of thing designed to keep more foreign soldiers from going into Iraq? No, it's a resolution to formally recognize the Armenian Genocide from 1915-1917 where the Turkish government killed around 1.5 million Armenians. Bush is afraid the Turks will get upset and cry about it. I say let Turkey do what it wants. Iraq is not America's annexed territory, it is still a sovereign nation (sort of). How hippocritical of us to tell people not to go there, even when they are being attacked. At least Turkey doesn't claim to have found yellow-cake uranium.
