Waaah. I want to smoke everywhere and you are trying to prevent me from doing so. Granted the above article is opinion piece about why smoking shouldn't be banned, but really should you be complaining that your right to smoke is in jeopardy.
Schwarzenegger this week signed a bill to make smoking in the cars with minors a $100 fine and people are gettin' all uppity (yeah I said uppity). I'm pretty sure that smoking didn't somehow become as important as the right to due process or right to assembly (maybe it happened yesterday, I woke up late). I know that people believe that they should be able to do whatever they want because it's their children, blah, blah. However, for the same reason you shouldn't be able to do anything else the compromises the safety of your children, you shouldn't be smoking in their vicinity in the car. I guess if you really need to smoke you can always pull over, as long as its not in front of a federal building.
